Cherry Wu

Founder and General Manager, Dalian LongSheng Fashion Co, LTD (China)

With the love for fashion and a dream to make the life more beautiful, 21 years ago, a young girl left her home at a small town in south China for Dalian, a beautiful beach city and famous for fashion in north China to explore the world. Cherry Wu, the young lady 21 years ago, now becomes the founder and CEO of Longsheng Fashion which is the largest leather garments exporter in China.

Founded in 1999, Longsheng Fashion is specialized in design, trade and production of leather garments and textile apparels. Their products cover a wide range of categories including leather, PU garments, textile garments. Longsheng Fashion has built a professional, dynamic design team with international perspectives, able to independently design and develop products in tune with market demands and fashion trends. In 2002, Longsheng Fashion set up the first factory of its own and in 2007, the second one. Beside these two directly invested factories, more than 10 factories have established long-term strategic cooperation with Longsheng Fashion in the past 12 years. A comprehensive production and supply chain system has been a vital guarantee of good quality and timely delivery.

With 12 years’ development, Longsheng Fashion is now a professional, innovative and service-oriented enterprise, gaining recognition from the key European and American customers such as Zara, H&M, C&A, All Saints, Bestseller and Tesco.

Cherry Wu will never stop her pursuing steps. In 2011, Cherry launched Birryshop, a lady brand of classic elegance, vogue and comfort. Birryshop has a good command of global fashion trends and a deep perception of Chinese women’s traits. With its distinctive British style, Birryshop stands for modern women’s chivalrous beauty of true self --- wisdom, grace, candor and fashion.

As a member of China Leather Industry Association, Cherry has been very active in promoting the green products concept among the members in the past years. Her pioneering actions have greatly increased the awareness of leather industry in China on environment protection. Cherry Wu is also vice director of Dalian Fashion Industry Association. She is like a sponge absorbing at any chance the ideas and knowledge useful to realize her dream. She learns from her customers, peers in the industry and MBA classmates. Cherry Wu finished her EMBA study in 2008 in China Europe International Business School, a leading business school in Asia. Since then, she has been actively involved in the activities of CEIBS Alumni Association.

Cherry Wu has a happy family which she weighs more important than business. He Chun, her husband has been the indispensable partner in business. They work together to make the dream come true.
